6 months later

This is the same field I took pictures of in November's Desaturated. I no longer feel so pale and colorless. I am in a much better place in my life.

We were in South Padre Island, TX last week. It was a blast despite some cloudy weather. The first and last day we were there it was sunny but other than that there was some pretty heavy cloud cover and high winds. It was still beautiful though

Trains!

An old family friend of ours has a train room! I remember when I was a little girl I loved going over and watching him run the trains through the tiny intricate world. I went over today and went straight to the train room. He is redo-ing it but it still has a sense of whimsy.

Embracing Color

Using color in pictures is a bit hard for me. I tend to like the airy, pastel, unsaturated look of older photographs so thats what I usually try to mimic. I was using my friends nikon D-40 and just loved some of the color shots I got. Maybe I'll start to embrace bold?

Oh! I should also point out that these weren't taken with my point-and-shoot. These were taken with my friend's DSLR... some kind of Nikon.

I'm wide awake and it's morning

I definitely lied in the title- there is no way I was wide awake when these photos were taken. It was 7am and I was dying to crawl back into my bed.

Also- My parsley (I think that's what this is?) is growing!
